At Bintang Mandiri School, learning goes beyond the classroom. Sometimes, the best lessons happen in the kitchen!
Our students recently stepped into the world of cooking through a fun and exciting Kids Cooking Class, where they had the opportunity to become little chefs for the day—with their parents by their side.

The activity was divided into two exciting cooking competitions. Some groups were challenged to prepare delicious main courses, while the other groups took on the challenge of creating refreshing and creative desserts.
With only 90 minutes on the clock, the kitchen quickly became a place full of energy, teamwork, creativity, and delicious aromas!
From Traditional Favorites to Sweet Creations
For the main course competition, students worked together to prepare traditional Indonesian favorites such as Bubur Bali, Soto, and Bubur Makassar.
Meanwhile, the dessert teams created refreshing treats including Cendol, Es Buah, and Es Teler.
From preparing ingredients to cooking, decorating, and presenting their final creations, every student had an important role to play.
90 Minutes to Become a Mini Chef
With a 90-minute time limit, the students experienced what it was like to work under pressure while still having fun.
They had to communicate with their teammates, manage their time, make decisions, and work together to complete their dishes before time ran out.
With the support and guidance of their parents, our students confidently took charge of their little kitchens. For a moment, the school kitchen felt like a real restaurant kitchen—with our students becoming mini chefs in action!

Learning Together with Parents
One of the most special parts of the activity was having parents participate alongside their children.
Parents helped guide, support, and encourage the students while allowing them to take an active role in the cooking process.
The kitchen was filled with laughter, collaboration, creativity, and proud moments as each team worked together toward their final creation.
More Than Just a Cooking Competition
The cooking class was about more than simply preparing food. It gave students an opportunity to develop valuable skills such as teamwork, responsibility, creativity, communication, time management, and confidence.
Whether they were stirring Bubur Bali, preparing Soto, or creating colorful glasses of Es Buah and Cendol, every student had the chance to explore, create, collaborate, and have fun.
By the end of the 90-minute challenge, our little chefs had more than delicious dishes to show for their hard work. They also gained new experiences, valuable skills, and wonderful memories shared with their parents and friends.
Who knew 90 minutes could turn our students into such confident little chefs?
At Bintang Mandiri School, we believe that every experience can become an opportunity to learn, grow, and shine.
